All our courses are taught by highly qualified, experienced teachers who are best placed to give constructive, individualised feedback and monitor your progress through regular in-class evaluated tasks. Meet some of our myClass teachers:

Alan Savlokhov

Alan comes from Dnipro, but he moved to Kyiv in 2018. He has been teaching English since 2015. Alan used to study Business Administration at Saimaa University of Applied Sciences, Finland. He took IETLS in November 2015 and then completed his CELTA in September 2018. Alan enjoys creating a positive atmosphere in his lessons. He adores engaging students and keeping them motivated with varied, lively approaches.

Alina Promska

Alina was born in Chernihiv and raised in Kharkiv before moving to Kyiv. She graduated from National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" in 2006 and Karazin Kharkiv National University in 2010. Alina has degrees in Marketing (Master of Science with honors) and English language and literature (Master of Arts with honors). She has been working as a teacher of English since 2009 and has CELTA (2013), TYLEC (2015) and DELTA (2016).

Alyona Glushkova

Alyona is from Kyiv. She graduated from Kyiv State Linguistic University as a teacher of English. She has a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). She started her teaching career in 1988. She worked in secondary school #182, gymnasia 136 and Montessori School in Kyiv. She has worked as a teacher-trainer for Pearson Publishing House since 2000. In her free time she loves reading, cycling, singing and playing tennis.

Alyona Skalka

Alyona Skalka comes from Khmelnytskiy region. Alyona attended Shevchenko University where she got her bachelor degree in translation. In 2008 she went to Great Yarmouth, England to take part in the exchange programme. A year from April 2016 to April 2017 she spent in the Netherlands, where she worked as an au pair. Alyona took care of two boys and a baby girl. She remembers it as one of the most wonderful years in her life. Alyona likes travelling, drawing, cycling, socializing and Pilates.

Anastasiia Glushkova

Anastasiia is from Kyiv and has a Bachelor degree of Glier Music School as a choir conductor. She got her Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) in ILC and Trinity / British Council Teaching Young Learner Extension Certifi­cate Course at the British Council Kyiv (TYLEC). She started her teaching career as a private English Language tutor. Also she worked as a classroom assistant in Brit­ish Council two years before becoming an English Teacher in British Council.

Andrew Weston

Andrew is from England, where he worked several years as a teacher in state schools.  He has a BA Hons. in History, PGCE, TESOL Cert, and an MSc from Oxford University.  He has taught ESL in the UK, Russia and spent 2 years teaching English at UCUniversity in Lviv.  Andrew joined the British Council Kyiv in 2017.  He particularly enjoys teaching General English to all ages.

Anna Fomenko

 

Anna graduated from Oles Honchar National University in Dnipro and Kyiv Institute for Translators and Interpreters. She took her CELTA course at the British Council and started working there. Before she worked as a teacher at O. Honchar National University in Dnipropetrovsk; taught English at the Ukrainian-American Language Centre of National Mining University. Anna enjoys teaching English very much, she is really happy that her hobby has become her profession.

 

 

Chris Needham

Chris started teaching English as a foreign language in 2001. He has taught all age groups and types of learners from six-year old learners to corporate executives. Chris holds the Cambridge ESOL CELTA, TYLEC and DELTA teaching qualifications and is currently undertaking his MSc TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) through Aston University, Birmingham UK. Chris has worked with students in Indonesia, Turkey, the Netherlands and since February 2013 in Ukraine.

Daniel Puzzo

Daniel comes from England, Northern Ireland and the United States. He studied history at Tufts University in the US, and has an MSc in International Relations from Edinburgh University. He has been working as a teacher since 2005, and before coming to the British Council, he taught in the Czech Republic, Spain, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan, the US, as well as at various summer schools in the UK. He’s got a PGCE in Secondary History & Social Studies.

Daria Anosova

 

Daria was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. She got her Bachelors and Masters (with honours) as a teacher of English and World Literature at the National Pedagogical University in Kyiv. Her teaching qualifications also include CELTA.  Daria has been teaching since 2011 and started working for the British Council in Kyiv in 2016. Prior to coming to the British Council she worked in language schools teaching various English courses for all ages.
