In each lesson you will master a real-life situation in English. Just choose the topics most relevant to you - for the workplace, for study or for social interactions – and practise the language skills you need to consolidate your learning.

Discover what you will learn

Each MyClass lesson is 90-mins long and covers English speaking, writing, reading and listening skills. In each lesson you will learn new vocabulary and phrases, practise pronunciation and grammar, and improve your accuracy. 

For the most effective learning experience, you will study with learners at the same level as you. Our English lessons are aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

Elementary (A1)

Examples of what you will learn at Elementary (A1) are: 

  • writing about yourself, for example where you live and what you do 
  • introducing yourself and others 
  • describing your family, job, and hobbies  
  • handling travel and ticket booking

Pre-intermediate (A2)

Examples of what you will learn at Pre-intermediate (A2) are:

  • writing emails and letters
  • communicating with confidence in public
  • crafting the perfect story and engaging others
  • handling requests, agreements and solutions

Intermediate (B1)

Examples of what you will learn at Intermediate (B1) are:

  • discussing and reviewing books and films
  • discussing and gathering opinions on life
  • organising your writing effectively
  • carrying out an effective negotiation
  • communicating clearly over the phone
  • presenting an action plan or project review

Upper-intermediate (B2)

Examples of what you will learn at Upper Intermediate (B2) are:

  • expressing opinions and listening to different perspectives
  • planning and presenting ideas for change
  • planning and writing a report
  • effectively managing, planning and delegating at work

Advanced (C1)

Examples of what you will learn at Advanced (C1) are:

  • making predictions and analysing trends
  • taking an active role in meetings and negotiations
  • describing and interpreting data
  • discussing and debating ethical issues and social responsibility
  • writing copy for blogs, emails and web pages

Proficiency (C2)

Examples of what you will learn at Proficiency (C2) are:

  • understanding of some of the finer points of the English language such as using irony, expressing attitude, exploiting slang
  • discussing, speculating on and evaluating things beyond your personal experience
  • understanding authentic TED Talks in detail
  • critical thinking and presentation skills
  • writing and talking about real-world controversies and innovative ideas, including infographics, varied genres and profiles of celebrated researchers and front-runners
