The Culture and Creativity website was created in 2015 within the framework of an EU Programme to promote cultural contribution to the social and economic development of the six Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
Since then, the website has become a popular and useful resource for professionals of the cultural and creative industries. After the end of the Programme, the website continues to operate with funding from the British Council.
Currently, the British Council runs the platform with a total audience of over 1,000,000 policy makers, cultural managers and other professionals from the sector not only in the EaP, but further beyond its borders, in the EU, Russia, United States, and Central Asia.
The Culture and Creativity website continues to develop the potential of cultural and creative industries of the EaP countries and to post about best practices, tools, and opportunities on a daily basis.
One of the most popular format on the platform is online courses. There are 16 online courses currently available (in English with subtitles in Russian and other EaP languages). Each course contains short videos with additional materials, infographics, and useful links. Certificates of completion are generated online provided there are respective successful course test results.
