Imagine a world without music. We can’t. And in a world where the dynamic core of UK musical innovation leaves us with sounds to be discovered on a daily basis, the British Council is working to bring new performers, new techniques, and a whole new world of music to Ukraine.
It wasn’t long after we introduced the popular international music showcase, Selector Radio, to Ukrainian audiences that we decided to expand into the areas of live performance and tapping into UK expertise to help grow the Ukrainian music industry. Selector Radio was followed up by Selector Pro for Ukrainian industry professionals looking to develop their skills and UK specialists interested in new sounds coming out of eastern Europe. Finally, we added Selector Live to programme, bringing UK musicians to Kyiv for live performances.
