Role overview

The English for Civil Servants project was launched in March 2012 and is aimed at English and job-related skills development for Ukrainian civil servants involved in Ukraine’s EU integration process. The project programme covers business skills and adopts an ESP approach. It is extremely popular among civil servants and we currently deliver English lessons to 470 civil servants at more than eleven governmental institutions.

Essential requirements

  • Teaching competencies (all at level 1):
  1. Classroom management 
  2. Course and lesson planning 
  3. Subject knowledge
  4. Understanding your learners
  5. Learning technologies
  • Understanding and experience of ESP teaching
  • Understanding and experience of corporate teaching
  • Experience of teaching high-level clients
  • High proficiency in English i.e. full mastery of English across all 4 skills equivalent to user CEFR C2: IELTS Band 8/9 in each of 4 sections of the academic module; Cambridge CP
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent
