How many students will there be in my child’s class?

In our effort to provide you with the best conditions for learning, we consider the average size of a group for effective learning.

Our class size for students aged 6-7 is maximum 12 students. For students aged 8 -17 there are 14 students on average.

Can I choose the teacher?

No. The British Council is an equal opportunity's employer. All our teachers are professionals with relevant experience regardless of nationality. Students are reminded that they sign up for courses, not teachers.

What happens if my child misses lessons?

We ask that you provide confirmation of your child’s absence either by phone or email. We also ask you to confirm your child can leave classes early by providing a note. If there are any unexplained absences, we will contact you.

What do I do if I have a problem?

Remember, if you have any questions, you can speak to your teacher or a member of the Customer Excellence Team (CET) or send an e-mail to or use Live Chat for live communication with us from 10 till 17, Mon-Fri.
