To what extent do your assessment methods activate your students’ motivation and contribute to a deeper understanding of the topic? How can the learning outcomes be effectively measured during the distance learning?
Assessment is a key component of student success in higher education and should be viewed as a tool for learning development. This is assessment for learning, rather than simply a tool for measuring the level of achievement of learning outcomes – assessment of learning (“Essential frameworks for enhancing student success. Enhancing student success in higher education” by Advance HE). So how can you conduct assessment which encourages students to learn?
On 8 December we conducted a webinar in Zoom, during which speakers who teach at universities, shared their experience and tools for student assessment.
Speakers:
Kathy Wright, Assistant Director of Knowledge, Innovation and Delivery, Advance HE
Olga Yashenkova, Assistant Professor, Department of English Philology and Intercultural Communication, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv
