Creative Europe is the European Union's programme to support the cultural and creative industries. From 2014-2020, €1.46 billion is available to support European cultural projects which have at their base collaborations between different countries.

Organisations from Ukraine can apply to Creative Europe’s Culture sub-programme. Full participation in the MEDIA sub-programme depends on the alignment of third countries audiovisual legislation with that of EU countries. Failing this alignment, they may still participate in the following schemes of the MEDIA sub-programme: Training, Festivals, Audience Development and Access to Markets.

The British Council in Ukraine will be launching a new programme shortly which seeks to increase collaboration between Ukraine and the EU. One of its main objectives is to ensure Ukraine fully participates in Creative Europe. We are therefore looking for a pool of trainers to help us deliver 2-day workshops across Ukraine which:

1. introduce the programme, its different strands and the different requirements for its main calls; and

2. offer targeted one-on-one consultation sessions with around 10-15 organisations that are planning to participate in the next round of Creative Europe calls (and ideally have already been involved in an international consortia preparing a project/concept paper). We want to improve the quality of applications and ensure potential applicants receive support around the project proposal preparation.

  • Prepare and deliver the individual consultation sessions with these selected participants;
  • Prepare a 2-page report at the completion of the assignment together with the list of contacts and description of projects.

Applications can come from anywhere in Ukraine and the EU but we can’t accept applications from civil servants or Creative Europe Desk members of staff.
