Marc Cairns - speaker of Digital Lab: Creative Hubs Managers

Marc Cairns

Marc Cairns is a Director at Many Studios, an independent organisation based in Scotland. He operates a Creative Hub in Glasgow and works globally across the creative industries. Marc strongly believes that creative hubs are a medium for a critical conversation about architecture, placemaking and community building.

He is also Managing Director at New Practice, an architecture practice based in Glasgow and London, where he works with a number of public and private sector clients across the UK.

Between 2017 and 2019, he contributed to the European Creative Hubs Network and in 2020 he was appointed to the role of Associate at Design Council, Regional Lead for ArchitectureLGBT+ and to the British Council’s Creative Economy – UK Hubs Advisory Panel.

Tessa Moroder is a speaker at the Digital Lab: Creative Hubs Managers

Tessa Moroder

Tessa Moroder together with her sister Arianna is the founder of Lottozero, a centre for textile design in Prato, Italy. Before Lottozero, Tessa worked as a business consultant and later as a CFO of a cultural communication company.

Lottozero was founded in 2016 and operates both as a creative hub and a textile consultancy studio. Its headquarters occupy a warehouse in the Macrolottozero area of Prato. It is a total of 400-sqm and is divided into a gallery, coworking and open lab.

Lottozero aims to encourage and support the development of emerging talent in textile design through international opportunities.

Ivan Lopez Garrido is a speaker at the Digital lab: Creative Hubs Managers

Ivan Lopez Garrido

Ivan is a General Manager of Republikken, a coworking space in Copenhagen, Denmark. Having great experience in community building he created methodology in community management.

Republikken has always focused on having a community with entrepreneurs, freelancers and small companies who can inspire and help each other. The team of Republikken did its best to support these processes. 

Besides that, Ivan holds a Master in History from the University of Copenhagen, and is a Member of the board at European Creative Hubs Network. He was born in Chile and grew up in Copenhagen, where he still lives with his family.

Kaye Symington is a speaker at Digital Lab: Creative Hubs Managers

Kaye Symington

Kaye is co-founder of Paved With Gold, a crowdfunding and marketing agency based in Glasgow and London. Paved with Gold has been carefully designed to support passionate founders to launch their ideas and turn their businesses into loved brands. 

Kaye has developed and worked on programmes aimed at creatives alongside organisations like The Design Council, Creative Scotland and the Scottish Government. She guest lectures on branding and crowdfunding at Stirling University and Glasgow Caledonian University. 

Kaye gives people the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to launch a successful crowdfunding campaign.

Sara Pepper is a speaker at Digital Lab: Creative Hubs Managers

Sara Pepper

Sara Pepper is Director of Creative Economy at Cardiff University, with two main leadership roles: Director of creative city network Creative Cardiff, and Chief Operating Officer of Clwstwr, a £9 million R&D project promoting innovation in the Welsh economy. 

Her role is to provide leadership and strategic direction to companies and to work with a wide variety of stakeholders including academic, industry and government partners. 

Sara is passionate about championing and developing creative talent and ideas and brokering partnerships that enable individuals and organisations to realise their full creative and commercial potential.
