DMYTRO ZAKHOZHENKO AND NEW DRAMA THEATRE ON PECHERSK, KYIV

“The Universe in a Nutshell” – inspired by “The Grand Design” by Stephen Hawking and Leonard Mlodinow and “Hamlet” by William Shakespeare

About the Production: The performance draws on the bestselling writing of celebrated British astrophysicist Stephen Hawking. Though confined to a wheelchair, a scientist guides us on a trip that explores the limits of human cognition. What exactly is our universe? Did it have a beginning? What is matter? What is the origin of life? Are we alone in the universe? The play looks at how the resolve of a few determined scholars can reshape our concept of the world.
