The British Council in Ukraine announces a call for proposals to select an implementing partner to deliver an Ideathon within the “Youth Connect for Ukraine” programme.

The “Youth Connect for Ukraine” programme aims to strengthen young people’s leadership qualities, teach them effective interaction, and provide them with tools for developing social activism so that young people can not only adapt to complex realities, but also participate in building the future.

The Ideathon is planned to be held in a face-to-face format lasting 3-5 days. Additional online events may also be organized.
The implementation period for participants’ projects is March-June 2026.

The target audience is participants of youth leadership workshops held as part of the “Youth Connect for Ukraine” project.
The estimated number of participants is 40 people.

What we expect from the selected implementing partner:

  1. Developing the theme, concept, and a detailed plan for the Ideathon within the “Youth Connect for Ukraine” programme;
  2. Organising participant selection; ensuring event planning and organisation, technical and information support; engaging speakers and experts to deliver the programme;
  3. Financial management of the project;
  4. Providing mentors’ and advisory support for the winning projects of the “Youth Connect for Ukraine” Ideathon;
  5. Preparing and submitting narrative and financial reports to the British Council;
  6. Ensuring effective cooperation with the British Council at all stages of project implementation.

The maximum grant amount for project implementation is UAH 950,000, which includes a budget for the winning projects – up to UAH 300,000 – and costs related to organising and delivering the events – up to UAH 650,000.

We are looking for non-governmental organizations with at least three years of experience working with young people and implementing youth projects, with expertise and previous experience in organising events for young people, implementing sub-granting, working with the specified topics and target audience.
