Young participants present a group social action project during the Youth Connect for Ukraine training in Ivano-Frankivsk, standing beside a flipchart while explaining their ideas to the wider group.

Ivano-Frankivsk hosted a five-day Youth Connect for Ukraine training, drawing in the region’s most active young leaders.

The intensive convened motivated participants from across the region – young people determined to transform their communities, expand the youth ecosystem, and translate personal initiative into public value.

The cohort unpacked the programme framework, collaborated in small teams, articulated shared principles, and examined both the immediate needs and the underlying drivers of local challenges. Discussions and teamwork helped shape a common vision for solutions and turn social action project ideas into realistic plans.

Organisers placed marked emphasis on leadership development, effective communication, and practical team dynamics. Young people trained in attentive listening, rotated responsibilities, and tested consensus-building in real time. This collaboration became the foundation for strong, motivated teams ready to act for the benefit of their communities today.

The final phase shifted decisively toward application. Participants constructed social initiative proposals, mapped a theory of change, and outlined the resources, partnerships, and sequential steps required for delivery.

Next comes the submission of the developed social action projects. The strongest proposals will be selected for funding, with the aim of delivering measurable improvements for communities across the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Thanks are extended to participants, facilitators, and partners for five days defined by momentum, fresh insight, and usable skills.

The “Youth Connect for Ukraine” program is implemented by the British Council in partnership with local youth organizations and communities across Ukraine. The training in Ivano-Frankivsk region was carried out in cooperation with the Charitable Foundation "Eudemony of Ukraine".
